BREAKING: Tiger Woods Withdraws from Hero World Challenge

Tiger Woods has announced that he is withdrawing from this week’s Hero World Challenge due to plantar fasciitis in his foot.

He is still planning to play in The Match and the PNC Championship.

“In my preparation and practice for this week’s Hero World Challenge, I’ve developed plantar fasciitis in my right foot, which is making it difficult to walk. After consulting with my doctors and trainers, I have decided to withdraw this week and focus on my hosting duties. My plan is still to compete in The Match and PNC Championship,” Woods said in a statement.

Woods was expected to host a press conference on Tuesday morning.

It is unclear if that is still on.
