Corrente Captures 3rd Straight Senior Player of Year Award

It is now official, Darren Corrente has captured his third straight Rhode Island Senior Player of the Year award, the Rhode Island Golf Association announced on Friday afternoon. 

“It’s an honor. I mean players are so good, I’m just thinking about some of the guys that you see like Bruce Heterick, Dean Parziale, who had a couple of wins, Soucy, Quigley, these guys are all solid players. There is a lot of good golfers up here, so it is an honor. I’m honored to be able to do this three years in a row,” Corrente told GolfNewsRI on the Golf Dudes Podcast.

This season, Corrente finished third in the Rhode Island Senior Amateur at Rhode Island Country Club. 

Later in the year, he finished second in the senior division of  the RI Mid-Am at Triggs.  

Corrente previously won the Player of the Year in 2020, and 2021.
