Lisa McGill Named RI Women’s Player of Year

The Misquamicut Club’s Lisa McGill has been named the Rhode Island Women’s Player of the Year, the Rhode Island Golf Association announced on Tuesday. 

McGill beat out Kirkbrae’s Kylie Eaton by 135 points to win the award.

McGill’s Season 

The four-time RI Women’s Amateur champ had a big year in 2022. 

She qualified for the U.S. Senior Women’s Open and went on to finish 50th overall. 

McGill also qualified for the British Women’s Amateur and took sixth in the tournament. 

She was the second alternate for the U.S. Senior Women’s Amateur.
