GOLFTV to Shut Down in December

GOLFTV has begun notifying customers that the service will be shutting down in less than a month, according to an email sent out by the company on Friday.

The service will shut down on December 12, 2022.

“Dear customer, we are sending you this email as a customer of GOLFTV to notify you in advance that the service will be discontinued soon. Unfortunately, we are going to stop proving GOLFTV on 12 December 2022,” reads the email.

Back in 2019, the PGA Tour and GOLFTV signed a long term content deal worth $2 billion for broadcasts in international markets.

The deal was for 12-years, meaning that there is still eight years and nearly $1.3 billion left on the deal.

Tiger Woods is sponsored by GOLFTV and has done content for them over the course of the deal.

It is unclear what this means for international viewers of the PGA Tour going forward.
