GolfNewsRI Adds Podcaster/Content Creator Jeff Morrone to Team

GolfNewsRI is excited to announce the addition of podcaster and content creator Jeff Morrone to the team.

Morrone is the creator of the Rhody Runback Podcast, and has also done work with other local brands as well.

“GolfNewsRI is excited to add Jeff to the team to help us continue to produce the best golf content in Rhode Island and New England. He will be a key cog in GolfNewsRI getting to the next level over the next year or so,” said GolfNewsRI co founder Joe Calabro in a statement.

With GolfNewsRI, Morrone will handle social media content creation with a focus on building the company’s brand across all social platforms.

During the season, he will also help cover tournaments in both a written form and video form as he brings with him nearly a full studio of video and audio equipment, and possibly launch his own golf-related podcast.

“Being able to join GolfNewsRi is an amazing opportunity. It’s not every day you get to work in golf and be able to create content. I am excited for the journey and to be a part of an amazing company,” said Morrone.

Morrone & Rhody Runback

Morrone launched The Rhody Runback Podcast in July of 2020 to cover high school basketball in the state and beyond.

Over the course of the last several years, Morrone has interviewed some of the top high school prospects and coaches in region and across the country.

He has built the Instagram account to over 2,200 followers and a Youtube subscriber base of 329.

The Rhody Runback will continue to be a top source for high school basketball scores, highlights and interviews.

GolfNewsRI’s Joe Calabro joined the Rhody Runback Podcast earlier this year.
