Barrington Star Cole Vieira Commits to Assumption
Barrington High School star Cole Vieira announced that he will play golf next season at Division II Assumption University.
“I would like to announce my commitment to further my academic and golf career at Assumption University. Thank you to everyone for their support along the way. Special thank you to coach {John} O’Hara for this opportunity,” wrote Vieira in an Instagram post.

This summer, Vieira advanced to the Rhode Island Junior Amateur Championship match where he fell to Max Jackson.
Prior to that, he and partner Mark Wilson grabbed the first round lead at the Rhode Island Four-Ball Championship.
During the 2022 high school golf season, Vieira lead Barrington to a fourth place finish overall.
That came just a month after he led the Eagles to a win at the Hendricken Invitational.
With just one more high school golf season left, Vieira will look to add a few more wins to his high school legacy.
