Papa Slips to 12th After Round 2 of Notah Begay III National Championship
Vinny Papa is in a tie for 12th after round two of the Notah Begay III National Championship at Kaasati Pines in Louisiana.
Papa followed up a first round 72 with a second round 73 to drop one spot in the standings.
She is one-over for the tournament.
California’s Ziyi Zhao leads the tournament at eight-under par.
Saturday is the final round.
Papa’s 2nd Round
Papa opened the second round with a bogey on the second hole to get to one-over on the day.
After three straight pars, Papa birdied the sixth hole, and then dropped another birdie on the eighth hole to turn at one-under par.
On the backs side, Papa parred the first four holes, but then a double on the 14th hole set her back.
She followed with a bogey on the 17th hole, but closed with a birdie on 18 to stay at one-over.
