Colonna, Williams, Carlsson Lead RIers at Ocean State Jr. Classic
AJ Colonna carded a two round score of nine-over (151) to win the boys 14 and under division at the Ocean State Junior Classic on Sunday at Cranston Country Club.
Colonna held off charges from Massachusetts’ Peter Li and Westerly’s Rocco Capalbo, who finished tied for second at 12-over.
Meanwhile, in the girls division, defending RI High School Girls Champion, and RI Junior Girls Am champ, Olivia Williams finished in second at 16-over for the two days.
Westwood’s Lillian Guleserian won the tournament at 14-over, after Williams had the lead through nine holes.
In the boys 15-18 division, Narragansett’s Sebastian Carlsson finished in second at seven over par, four shots behind winner Gavin Kvadus.
Hendricken’s Brady Williams finished fourth at 8-over par, while St. Rays’ Nick Emery took seventh.
The tournament is part of the Challenge Cup.
