Triggs to Host Annual McCormick Shootout This Weekend
Some of the top amateurs in Rhode Island and New England will be at Triggs Memorial Golf Course this weekend for the annual McCormick Shootout.
The best ball tournament will take place on October 22 and 23 with a 8:30 a.m. shotgun start on both days.
The two day tournament honors McCormick, who passed away in 2005.
The Tournament
Headlined by Mike’s son, and former RI Amateur Champion, Tom McCormick, the tournament is a two man best ball event played over 36 holes.
Last year’s tournament was won by Kirkbrae’s Mike Hamilton and Derek Audette, with Kevin Blaser and Mark Loumsbury finishing second.
