Addy Douglas Finishes 2nd at Sacred Heart Fall Invitational
Newport’s Addy Douglas finished in second place at the Sacred Heart Fall Invitational on Monday at Great River Golf Course in Connecticut.
Douglas posted a two-round score of two over 146 to finish one shot behind Chantal El Chaib.
Meanwhile, the Fairfield women’s golf team finished in third place with a team score of 27-over par.
Also playing in the tournament, the Bryant University women’s team finished in eight at 54-over par.
Douglas’ Final Round
After a 74 in the first round, Douglas opened the second round with two pars on the first two holes.
She made her first birdie of the day on the third hole, bogeyed the fourth hole, and then made another birdie on the fifth hole.
A bogey on the seventh hole saw her turn at even par.
On the back side, Douglas birdied the 13th hole and bogeyed the 14th hole to shoot 72.
