Kirby Finishes 61st at Senior PGA Professional Championship

Rhode Island’s Ed Kirby finished in a tie for 61st at the Senior PGA Professional Championship on Sunday in New Mexico.

After three rounds in the 70s, Kirby posted a final round 80 and moved up four spots in the standings. 

For his efforts, Kirby takes home $1,450.00 

Colorado’s Matt Schalk won the tournament at 10-under par. He took home $26,000.

Kirby’s Final Round 

The Aquidneck Club pro opened with two pars, but then a triple-bogey seven on the third hole and a bogey on six saw him turn at 40. 

On the back side, Kirby bogeyed the 10th hole, doubled the 14th and bogeyed the 17th  to shoot 80.
