New England’s Keegan Bradley Wins Zozo Championship

For the first time in four years, Vermont native Keegan Bradley is a winner on the PGA Tour.

Bradley birdied the par-4 17th hole and saved par on 18 to win the Zozo Championship early on Sunday morning in Japan.

He finished at 15-under for the tournament to beat Rickie Fowler and Andrew Putnam by one shot.

“I’ve been crying since I finished. I can’t remember the last time I cried. I couldn’t keep things together. I don’t know what’s wrong with me,” said Bradley after the round.

This is Bradley’s fifth PGA Tour win since his rookie year, 2011, but his first since the 2018 BMW Championship.

In case your counting, that’s over 1,400 days ago.

Asked what he was going to do to celebrate, Bradley said, “We’re going to hit it tonight, for sure. We’re going to go out to dinner at a steakhouse in Narita and we’ve got the Patriots playing at 2:00 a.m., so it could be a long night.”
