Rhode Island Needs Major Rally on Final Day of Tri-State Matches
Team Rhode Island entered the Tri-State matches looking for a victory at home.
Now, after day one, Rhode Island needs a massive rally in the Wednesday four-balls.
Massachusetts leads the event with 55 points, Connecticut is in second with 34.5 points and Rhode Island is in last with 30.5 points.
Rhode Island hasn’t won the Tri-State Matches in 20 years.

While several teams contributed zero points, Rhode Island did have a few teams who managed good days.
In the alternate shot, the team of Tom McCormick and Kevin Silva won their match with 4 1/2 points, while the team of Dean Parziale and John Auclair pulled out a victory in their match with five points.
In the singles, Jantzen Vargas and Tyler Cooke both won their matches, while Kevin Blaser added 1.5 points.
