MacLeod Makes Collegiate Debut, Douglas Takes 9th at Hartford Inv.
The Hartford Hawks Invitational at Wintonbury Hills Golf Course in Connecticut came to a close on Tuesday.
The tournament featured the collegiate debut of Morgan MacLeod, and a top ten finish by Addy Douglas.
Coincidently enough, MacLeod’s Merrimack College and Douglas’ Fairfield University tied for the victory at 55-over par.
Douglas’ Tournament
The Newport native finished 9th overall at 15-over par for the tournament.
She posted rounds of 77 and 78 to tie with three other players.
MacLeod’s Debut
With rounds of 85 and 84, the former St. Marys-Bay View star finished in 42nd place in the tournament.
This was her first collegiate tournament for Merrimack after she was not in the lineup in the previous few.
Bryant Women in Action
The Bryant Women’s Golf team finished in fifth in the tournament out of nine teams.
Bryant was led by McLain Neal, who finished in a tie for third overall at 12-over par.
She fired rounds of 78 and 74 in the two round tournament.
Sydney Craven took 13th, and Erin Sullivan finished 25th.
