Francoeur Outside Cut Line After Opening Round of Q School
It’s just one round in, but former URI star Chris Francoeur will need to rally over the next three rounds if he wants to advance to stage two of Korn Ferry Tour Q School.
Starting his journey on Tuesday in Ohio, Francouer fired a three-over 75 in the first round and sits three shots back of the current projected cut.
Again, there are still three rounds left.
Round two begins on Wednesday morning.
Francoeur’s 1st Round
After saving par on the first hole, Francoeur bogeyed the second hole and then doubled the sixth hole to go to three-over for the day.
Making the turn, the former Rhody Ram made par on the first three holes, and then another bogey on the 13th hole to move to four-over.
He closed with a birdie on the 18th hole to finish at three-over with lots of golf to play.
