Bobby Leopold, Tyler Cooke Qualify for U.S. Four-Ball
Three-time RI Amateur Champion Bobby Leopold and his brother-in-law Tyler Cooke have qualified for the 2023 U.S. Four-Ball Championship at Kiawah Island next May.
Playing at Shuttle Meadow Country Club in Connecticut, Leopold and Cooke posted a best-ball score of 10-under par (61) to make the cut by two shots.

This comes after fellow RI Amateur champ Kevin Silva and his partner Michael Phillipp qualified at Point Judith a little over a week ago.
The U.S. Four-Ball takes place May 20-24 at famed Kiawah Island in South Carolina.
Leopold + Cooke’s Round
After a par on the first hole, Cooke rattled off two straight birdies, and three birdies in four holes to get to three under.
Leopold took over from there, saving a par on the sixth hole and then making back-to-back birdies himself, getting the team to five-under.
Cooke birdied the ninth and the duo turned at 31.
On the back side, Leopold had a clutch par save on the 11th hole, and then they both birdied 13, Cooke birdied 14, Leopold 15 and they both drained birdies on 16.
On 17, things got dicey with Cooke making a double-bogey, but Leopold “saved” bogey.
Leopold got the bogey back on the 18th hole with a birdie.
