URI Finishes 2nd at Cornell/Temple Fall Invitational

The University of Rhode Island golf team finished in second at the Cornell/Temple Fall Invitational at The 1912 Club on Sunday afternoon.
The Rams entered the final round with a five shot lead, but a team score of 10-over on the day saw them drop a spot in the standings.

“This one is on me. We played three events in 16 days and have had a lot of great play in each tournament. However, we had poor final rounds the last two times out because I didn’t prepare the guys well enough,” said head coach Gregg Burke after the round.
Rhode Island finished at four-over for the tournament, while Temple won the tournament at one-over.
