Cam Smith Wins LIV Invitational Chicago, Uihlein Finishes 2nd
Cam Smith edged out Dustin Johnson and Massachusetts native Peter Uihlein to win the LIV Golf Chicago Invitational on Sunday afternoon at Rich Harvest Farms.
Uihlein finished with a three round score of 13-under par, while Johnson and Uihelin finished at 10-under.
This is Smith’s first LIV Golf win, granted, it is only his second tournament.
He takes home the first place prize of $4 million.
On the team side, it was Johnson’s 4 Aces that won for the fourth straight time.
The Aces got good performances by Johnson, Patrick Reed and Pat Perez, while Taylor Gooch got off to a good start, but faded over the final two rounds.
LIV’s next event is October 7 in Bangkok, Thailand.
