Dessel Finishes 49th in Collegiate Golf Debut
Former Moses Brown star Harry Dessel finished in a tie for 49th in his collegiate golf debut at The Doc Gimmler on Sunday at Bethpage State Park- The Red Course.
Dessel fired a three round score of 214, but his final round 68 was his best of the tournament and launched him 12 spots up the leaderboard.
Meanwhile, Lafayette finished in a tie for 8th at seven-under par.
Harvard won the tournament at 33-under par.
Dessel’s Final Round
Dessel opened his final round with a bogey on the third hole, but bounced back with birdies on the fifth and sixth holes to turn at one-under par.
On the back side, Dessel strung together six straight pars, before birding the 16th hole to fire a two-under 68 for the day.
