Harry Dessel Makes Collegiate Golf Debut
Former Moses Brown star Harry Dessel made his collegiate golf debut on Saturday at the Doc Gimmler at Bethpage State Park – Red Course.
After the first two rounds of play, Dessel is six-over for the tournament and in a tie for 61st.
The final round of the tournament is set for Sunday.
Lafayette is in a tie for 7th place at one-over par.
The Harvard Crimson lead the tournament at 23-under.
Dessel’s Debut
In the first 18, Dessel opened his collegiate career with a bogey on the tenth hole, his first hole).
After a string of pars, Dessel bogeyed the 15th hole to turn at two over.
On the second nine, Dessel dropped birdie putts on the third hole and fifth hole, before closing with a bogey on seven to shoot 71.
On the second 18, Dessel made four bogeys on the first nine to turn at four-over.
In the final nine holes of the day, played much better, making just one bogey on the seventh hole to salvage a second 18 75.
