Rickie Fowler Fires Coach, Expected to Return to Butch Harmon

Rickie Fowler looks like he is starting over again.

Fowler has fired coach John Tillery and is expected to return to Butch Harmon, according to Sports Illustrated.

This comes a short time after Fowler fired his caddie Joe Skovron before the St. Jude Championship.

“This job will punch you in the gut sometimes. As a coach, there’s nothing better than watching your guys succeed, and nothing worse than watching them struggle. The X’s and O’s of what they need to do is the easy part, but getting it done can be a challenge sometimes, and we didn’t get it done. I’m pulling for him and wish him nothing but the best,” Tillery told ESPN.

Fowler snuck into the FedEx Cup playoffs this year, but that was largely because a handful of players jumped to LIV and were removed from the rankings.

Fowler’s last win was in 2019  and he is currently ranked number 178 in the world.

He was once fourth.
