URI in 5th After First Day of Lagowitz Memorial
In their season opening tournament, the University of Rhode Island golf team sits in fifth place after the first two rounds of the Lagowitz Memorial at Seven Oaks Golf Club in New York.

The Rams are five-over for the tournament and four shots out of third place heading into Sunday’s final round.
Seton Hall University is running away with the tournament at 19-under par.
Leading Rhody
Through two rounds, the Rams are led by Brandon Gillis, who is even par for the tournament.
He fired rounds of 73 and 71 to lead URI.
Following Gillis is Bryson Richards, who sits at one-over par entering the final round of the tournament.
Richards posted rounds of 75 and 70.
Just behind Richards is freshman Aidan O’Donovan who sits at two-over.
O’Donovan led Rhode Island for a good portion of the first round before a few bogeys slid him down the leaderboard.
