URI Finishes 3rd at Lagowitz Memorial
The University of Rhode Island golf team finished in third place in the season-opening Lagowitz Memorial Tournament at Seven Oaks Golf Club in New York.
URI posted a three-day team score of four-over par, but still finished well behind first place Seton Hall and second place Yale.
Seton Hall finished at 23-under par, and Yale finished 11-under par.
Leading Rhody
The Rams were led by Bryson Richards and Brandon Gillis, both of whom finished at even par for the tournament and in a tie for 11th.
Richards posted a final round 71, and Gillis followed up with a final round 72.
In his first collegiate tournament, freshman Aidan O’Donovan finished in a tie for 24th at three over par.
