URI Golf Adds Junior Transfer Geronimo Narizzano

The University of Rhode Island golf team announced that they have added Geronimo Narizzano to the squad for the upcoming season.

Narizzano joins Rhody from Southeast Community College in Nebraska.

“Geronimo has everything it takes to be truly special. His swing speed and balance are incredible, he knows how to make birdies, and there is no hole he fears,” said URI Golf Head Coach Gregg Burke.

Burke adds, “Geronimo will benefit from more course management and pre-tournament round strategy decisions. And as far as our team culture goes, he will fit in immediately.”

About Narizzano

A native of Buenos Aires, Argentina, Narizzano was a two-time NJCAA Division II First Team All-American at Southeast Community College. Most recently, he was the runner up at the 2022 NJCAA Division II National Championship.

Narizzano – who cited the Rams’ team culture as the key factor in his decision to transfer to URI – excels in the classroom as well, having earned NJCAA Academic All-America accolades this past season.
