Francoeur Tied for 1st After Opening Round of Q School in Nebraska

Former University of Rhode Island golf star Chris Francoeur is in a tie for first place after the first round of Korn Ferry Tour Q School at Quarry Oaks in Nebraska. 

Francoeur fired a five-under 66 in round one and is tied with four other players. 

The top 29 players and ties will advance to Stage 1.

Francoeur’s Round 

After a par on his first Q School hole, Francoeur birdied the second hole and followed that with a bogey on the fourth hole and another birdie on the sixth hole to turn at 34. 

On the back side, Francoeur birdied the 11th hole to get to two under and then closed with a birdie binge. 

He dropped a birdie on the 16th hole, another on the 17th hole and closed the round with a birdie on the par-5 18th hole to shoot 66.
