REPORT: Tiger Woods Flying in for PGA Players Only Meeting Regarding LIV Threat

The top players on the PGA Tour are holding a players only meeting on Tuesday afternoon at the BMW Championship to discuss the continued threat of LIV Golf.

According to reports, the meeting is so big that Tiger Woods is flying in for it.

ESPN reports that PGA Tour Commissioner Jay Monahan is set to meet with players in a separate meeting on Wednesday.

“I’m hearing tomorrow’s (today) PGA Tour player meeting regarding LIV is going to be a banger. Supposedly everything is on the table, from major championship boycotts to Monahan’s future to a larger compromise. And Tiger M.F. Woods is expected to fly in to provide counsel/bully/cajole,” tweeted Alan Shipnuck on Monday night.

These meetings come a week after the PGA Tour was victorious in a court case that dissallowed the LIV players to take part in the FedEx Cup playoffs.

The LIV Golf Tour is coming to The International in Massachusetts in just a couple of weeks.

Top players like Dustin Johnson, Brooks Koepka, Patrick Reed and others have already left the PGA Tour for LIV.

More players, including Cam Smith and Cam Young are expected to leave the Tour once the FedEx Cup playoffs end.

It seems ironic that Smith withdrew from the BMW Championship this week.
