Paik Makes Match Play Cut at MA Women’s Am

Rhode Island’s Allison Paik fired a second round 78 to make the match play cut on Tuesday at the Massachusetts Women’s Amateur at The Orchards. 

Paik finished 15th overall in the medal play portion of the tournament and will face 18th seeded Keira Joshi in the round of 32 on Wednesday.

Paik’s 2nd Round 

After an opening 85 put her right on the cutline, Paik bounced back with a significantly better round on day two. 

The 2020 Mass Women’s Am Champ opened with a bogey on the second hole and a double on the fourth hole. 

She then birdied the fifth hole, bogeyed the sixth, bogeyed the eight and birdied the ninth to turn at 39. 

Paik opened the back nine with a birdie on the tenth hole, followed by bogeys at 12, 15, 17 and 18 to shoot 78.
