Allison Paik Tied 30th After Round 1 of Mass Women’s Amateur

Rhode Island’s Allison Paik is in a tie for 30th after the first medal play round of the Massachusetts women’s Amateur at The Orchards. 

Paik fired a 13-over 85 in the opening round and is tied for 30th with multiple other players.

She will need a good round on Tuesday if she wants to make the match play cut. 

The top 32 players and ties make the cut to Wednesday’s match play portion.

Paik’s Round 

Starting on the back nine, Paik opened the round with a double bogey on the 10th hole, and followed up with a bogey on the 11th. 

The Columbia star then birdied the 13th hole, before bogeying the 15th, doubling the 17th and bogeying the 18th to turn at 42. 

On the front side, she bogeyed the first, third, fifth and sixth holes, before doubling the seventh hole. 

She closed the round with a bogey on the ninth hole to shoot 85.
