Francoeur Makes Match Play Cut at U.S. Am, Will Face David Timmins in Round of 64
Former University of Rhode Island star Chris Francoeur is through to the match play portion of the U.S. Amateur at Ridgewood Country Club in New Jersey.
After starting the second round with a share of the lead, Francoeur struggled to get anything going at Arcola County Club, finishing at four-over for the tournament.

He will face David Timmins on Wednesday at 9:40 a.m.
Francoeur got into the U.S. Amateur as an alternate after his Louisville teammate Jiri Suska got in on an exemption from the Elite Amateur Series.
Francoeur’s 2nd Round
After an opening round 68 at Ridgewood, Francoeur began his second round with a bogey on the second hole, followed by a double on the fourth hole.
The soon-to-be pro then made four straight pars before a bogey on the ninth hole to turn at 39.
On the back side, Francoeur parred the first four holes, before bogeying the 14, 17 and 18 to shoot a 77.
