Woman-Owned Klockitgolf Revolutionizing Golf Practice
Massachusetts native Doreen Raftery owned a catering business (Classic Catering) and a cafe (Pearlie Mae’s) for over 20 years.
Then, Covid hit and like many businesses across the country and around the world, she was forced to close.
She pivoted to golf.
“I started golfing during Covid like over three million other people, My husband retired from the fire department during the pandemic and started playing, but it was not good. So I took matters into my own hands and I came up with something that would help me keep my head down and focus on the ball,” Raftery told GolfNewsRI.
What she came up with is a revolutionary training tool called Klockitgolf.

“The first version was a pair of ladies nylons, a real golf ball and a spike. After many iterations, it is now known as Klockitgolf,” Raftery said about the early days of the product.
The Klockitgolf product is made up of a stake, a cord and a golf ball.
You simply put the stake in the ground, tee up the ball and swing away, without the fear of losing the ball or, for those that practice in the yard, breaking anything.

Klockitgolf now ships all over the country and can be purchased through their website, or Amazon.
“We have had four or five star reviews so far. People are loving it as a warm up tool and beginners are loving it,” Raftery added.
Replacement balls are offered in two packs.
