Judge Rules in Favor of PGA Tour, Won’t Allow LIV Golfers to Compete in Playoffs

A judge in San Jose, California has ruled against Taylor Gooch, Hudson Swafford and Matt Jones in their effort to play in the FedEx Cup Playoffs.

Last week, those three players tried to get a restraining order against the PGA Tour which would allow them to play in the FedEx Cup playoffs.

Judge Freeman made the decision a little bit after 6 p.m. on Tuesday evening.

“I find the plaintiffs have not established irreparable harm,” Freeman said in announcing her decision.

According to reports, a trial for the main antitrust case is set for next September.

One way or the other, LIV Golf is coming to The International next month.

The FedEx Cup Playoffs begin on Thursday morning in Memphis.
