Scoring HERE

Boys Championship Division

In the championship division, Jackson will look to continue his stranglehold on the Rhode Island boys junior golf scene.

Jackson got back to the finals after holding on to beat Rocco Biafore in the semifinals 3&1.

Max Jackson

However, Jackson was four up through five holes before Biafore came back to tie it, but Jackson ended up pulling it out.

Vieira, a star of Barrington High School, got to the finals after beating Narragansett’s Sebastian Carlsson 2&1.

Cole Vieira

The match was tied through ten holes, before Vieira won the 11th and 12th holes to go two up.

Carlsson got one back on 13, but Vieira took the 14th hole and held on to win.

Girls Championship Division

A rivalry (friendly, of course) is renewed in the Girls Junior Amateur Championship when Eaton and Williams meet.

These two met in last year’s Junior-Amateur title match with Eaton taking the title on the 17th hole.

Kylie Eaton

Since then, Williams won the Girls High School State Championship while playing in Eaton’s group, and then Eaton won the RI Women’s Amateur, beating Williams in the semifinals.

Eaton got back to the finals after cruising past Meredith Norton 8&6, while Williams beat rising star Lily Dessel 2&1.

Olivia Williams

Williams led the match 4-up at one point, before holding on to win.

Boys 14 & Under Division

The 14 & Under division will feature two rising stars in Rhode Island Golf – AJ Colonna and Drew MacLeod.

Colonna made it to Augusta National in 2021 for the Drive, Chip & Putt finals, while MacLeod is looking to follow in his sister’s (Morgan) footsteps.

AJ Colonna

Colonna beat Charlie Rosa 4&3 to advance to the final, while MacLeod cruised past Luke Cavanaugh 7&6.

This should be a really fun match to watch.

Boys First Division

The boys first division match features 14-year-old Joey Iaciofano and La Salle Academy star Joseph Earley.

Iaciofano made headlines earlier this summer by being the youngest player to qualify for the Rhode Island Amateur.

He advanced to the Junior Am finals by defeating East Greenwich’s Ryan Marcantonio 2&1.

Earley got to the finals by beating Harrison Giambattista 4&3.
