The top five players earn a spot on the Korn Ferry Tour at the end of the collegiate season, and players six-15 get membership on PGA Tour Canada or PGA Tour Latinoamerica.

Welch was close to the top ten last season, but pulled himself out of the rankings, meaning he will be back at Oklahoma next season.

He will play a PGA Tour event in October.
