Morgan MacLeod Takes Medalist Honors at RI Women’s Amateur

Recent St. Mary’s-Bay View grad Morgan MacLeod took medalist honors at the Rhode Island Women’s Amateur on Monday morning at Wanumetonomy.
MacLeod posted an even par 73 to win medalist honors by four shots over Kylie Eaton and Olivia Williams.

She will be the number one seed going into the match play portion of the tournament, which is set to begin on Tuesday afternoon.

She gave it back with a bogey on 12, before dropping birdies on 15 and 17 to get back under par.
MacLeod bogeyed 18 to turn at 35.
On the remainder of her front side, MacLeod bogeyed the first hole, but got it right back with a birdie on the second hole.
