Chatfield Finishes 15th at Pacific Coast Amateur

Former Rhode Island Amateur champion Davis Chatfield finished in a tie for 15th this week at the Pacific Coast Amateur at Columbia Edgewater Country Club.
The recent Notre Dame grad finished at seven-under for the tournament to tie with two other players.

The tournament was won by Arizona’s James Leow, who finished at 15-under.
Chatfield will next get set to play the Western Amateur starting on August 1, before flying back east to the U.S. Amateur later in the month.
Chris Francoeur and Patrick Welch are also in the field for the Western Am.
Chatfield’s Final Round
Looking to climb the leaderboard, Chatfield birdied three of the first six holes on the final day, before making bogey on the seventh hole.
After another birdie on eight, the former Rhode Island Amateur champ bogeyed nine to turn at 33.
On the back side, Chatfield birdied three of his first four holes before bogeying 14 to shoot 67.
