Tucker, Jackson Lead Rhode Islanders After Rd 1 of New England Am
Round one of the New England Amateur at Alpine Country Club is in the books and it is Joe Tucker and Max Jackson leading the way for Rhode Islanders.
Tucker and Jackson both fired 1-under par 71s in the opening round to finish the day in a tie for 13th.
URI star Bryson Richards is also at 1-under for the tournament.
There will be a cut after Tuesday’s round to the low 60 scores and ties.
As of Monday night, Nick Bodine, Derek Audette, Tom McCormick and Austin Cilley are outside the cut line.
Brad Valois is just inside the line, while Jackson, Tucker and Mike Hamilton are in great position.
The tournament concludes on Wednesday.
