Fran Quinn Survives 6-Man Playoff to Win Providence Open

Fresh off an appearance in the U.S. Open at Brookline, Massachusetts native Fran Quinn survived a six man playoff to win the Providence Open at Triggs Memorial on Friday afternoon.

The playoff included Rhode Island’s Brad Adamonis, all who finished at six under for the tournament in regulation.

Quinn birdied the first playoff hole (the 18th) by sticking his approach shot to 7 feet and canning the putt for birdie and the win.

Chris Flowers who was one of the playoff participants earned low amateur honors matching Quinn and 4 others with 6-under par 138 totals.
