What’s Next for Will Dickson?
Just a little over a week ago, Rhode Island’s Will Dickson picked up his second professional win at the most opportune time.
Dickson won the G-Pro Tour Championship in North Carolina, taking home a prize of $15,000.
The win made headlines around the mini-tour world with the popular Twitter account Monday Q Info putting out a series of tweets about Dickson’s victory and his story.
Brad Adamonis told GolfNewsRI on Thursday that Dickson is “off to a good start.”
So what is next?
Dickson tells GolfNewsRI that he is headed out Saturday (July 9) to go play a Korn Ferry Tour Monday Qualifier in Springfield Illinois (July 11) and then another one on July 18 in Springfield Missouri.
If he doesn’t qualify on the 11th, he will play the Waterloo Open in Iowa.
Asked if he ever thought he would be playing pro golf in Iowa when he was at Moses Brown, Dickson laughed.
“Good question, I would have to say I didn’t. When I was at MB I thought I knew everything and boy was I wrong,” the four-time RI State Champ said.
Following that stretch of golf, Dickson will be off to Korn Ferry Tour Q-School.
“I am exempt into the first stage for making the cut at the Korn Ferry even earlier in the spring. So I get to skip pre-qualifying,” Dickson said.
Pre-qualifying sounds more stressful than the actual qualifying.
