Paik, Florio Named to All-American Scholars Team by Women’s Golf Coaches Assoc.

Rhode Island’s Allison Paik and Alexis Florio have been named to the All-American Scholars team by the Women’s Golf Coaches Association (WGCA), the organization announced on Tuesday.
The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics, requiring a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.50.

The WGCA’s academic honors mark the third of Wang’s career, who picked up the accolades in all three of her collegiate competition seasons.
Florio, Paik and Walsh landed on the All-American Scholar Team for the first time.
Florio’s career at Columbia came to an end after last season, while Paik is going into her junior year.
