North Attleboro’s MacLeod Qualifies for U.S. Kids World Championship
North Attleboro’s Drew MacLeod is headed to the U.S. Kids World Championship at Mid South Club in North Carolina.
The soon to be 8th grader at de La Salle Middle School finished in a tie for 12th at the U.S. Kids regional at Pinehurst No. 7 this week to qualify for the championship.
MacLeod fired a pair of 75s to finish six-over for the tournament and in 12th.
The U.S. Kids World Championship will be held from July 28-30.
MacLeod’s Final Round
In the final round, MacLeod got off to a fast start, going three-under through his first 11 holes.
At that time, he was inside the top five.
However, he then doubled the 12th hole and added four more bogeys in the rest of the round to finish 12th.
