Dessel, Jackson Snag Top 5 Finishes at World Series of Junior Golf

Harry Dessel and Max Jackson snagged a pair of top five finishes this week at the World Series of Junior Golf at Triggs Memorial. 

Dessel finished a three-under for the tournament to finish second, after starting the final round tied for the lead.

Jackson finished in a tie for fourth with a score of 1-under for the two day event. 

The tournament was won by Andover’s Alex Landry, who is off to Clemson in the fall. 

He posted a pair of back-to-back 67s to win the tournament going away at 10-under par.

Notable Finishes 

Other than Dessel and Jackson, there were a handful of other Rhode Islanders and players with RI ties in the field. 

On the girls side, La Salle’s Olivia Williams finished fourth, while Lilly Dessel took 13th.

University of Rhode Island commit Aidan O’Donovan finished sixth at even par, while Rocco Biafore finished 13th. 

Narragansett’s Sebastian Carlsson and EG’s Ryan Dacey finished 16th. 

Ryan Marcantonio took 23rd, while Andrew Chadwick and Nick Emery finished 26th.
