The Junior Amateur begins on Monday, July 25, with the 36-hole championship match taking place on July 30.

Jackson’s Round

Playing the first nine holes in the rain, Jackson was just trying to survive.

After an opening par, Jackson birdied the second hole to get to one-under, but then gave it back, and then some, with bogeys on seven and eight.

He turned at one-over 37.

Another bogey on ten put Jackson at two-over and needing some magic on the final eight holes.

And that is exactly what happened.

Jackson birdied the 11th, 12th and 13th holes to get under par, then dropped another birdie putt on the par-5 16th hole to get to two-under.

Clutch pars on 17 and 18 gave Jackson the result he needed to advance.
