Northeast Amateur Local 7 LIVE Blog – Final Round
The final round of the Northeast Amateur is underway at Wannamoisett Country Club.
Davis Chatfield, Patrick Welch and Chris Francoeur all made the cut and will seek high finishes.
Winning the tournament is out of the question, as Dylan Menante is running away with it and poised to set tournament records.
Here is the final live blog of the week:
7:23 a.m. Chris Francoeur
Francoeur made a birdie on eight, but gave it back with a bogey on the ninth.
He doubled the 12th hole and then bogeyed the 15th to shoot a final round 72.
He finishes in 60th.
9:47 a.m. Davis Chatfield
Chatfield bogeyed the fourth hole, but got it back with a birdie at five.
He is even for the day, +1 for the tournament through six holes.
Chatfield finishes at 1-under and a tie for 14th.
10:35 a.m. Patrick Welch
Welch drops a birdie putt at the par-3 third hole and is one-under on the day, 3-under for the tournament.
Currently he is tied for 7th overall, has a chance for a top five finish.
Welch bogeys eight but sticks it close on nine and makes birdie. What a shot that was.
Welch bogeys 11 to go back to two under.
