Koepka Withdraws from Travelers
Following reports that he was joining LIV Golf, Brooks Koepka withdrew from the Travelers Championship late Tuesday night.
The announcement of him joining LIV has not become official yet so technically he could have stayed in the field.
However, him withdrawing from the tournament all but confirms that he is jumping ship.
He will be replaced in the field by Mark Hubbard.
Koepka to LIV
Speculation that Koepka would jump ship began after his U.S. Open press conference last week, where he did not denounce the new tour, but instead blamed the media for talking about it.
His brother Chase is already a part of LIV Golf.
LIV Golf’s second tournament is next week in Portland, Oregon.
