La Salle’s Olivia Williams in 8th Entering Final Round of NE Women’s Amateur
La Salle rising sophomore Olivia Williams is in a tie for eighth place heading into Wednesday’s final round of the New England Women’s Amateur at the Country Club of Vermont.
Williams is 13-over for the tournament after 36 holes and tied with Massachusetts’ Charlotte Cute.
Massachusetts star Morgan Smith leads the way at six-under par.
Williams tees off at 10:55 a.m. on Wednesday morning.
Williams’ 2nd Round
Williams opened her second round with a bogey on the first hole, but bounced back with birdies on the fifth and ninths holes to turn at one-under par.
Things got tougher on the back nine.
She parred the tenth hole, but then went bogey, double, bogey, bogey, before dropping a birdie putt on the 15th hole.
She closed with three pars to post a second round 75.
