Reed, DeChambeau to Join LIV Golf
Two more pro golf stars are jumping ship from the PGA Tour to the newly launched LIV Golf Tour.
Bryson DeChambeau and Patrick Reed are reportedly joining LIV golf for its first U.S. event at the end of the month in Oregon.
“Bryson has always been an innovator. Having the opportunity to get in on the ground floor of something unique has always been intriguing to him. Professional golf as we know it is changing and it’s happening quickly,” Bryson’s agent said in a statement to the golf media.
According to Sports Illustrated’s Bob Harig, Reed and DeChambeau have signed with LIV for multiple years.
DeChambeau, like others before him (Dustin Johnson), had previously said that he was sticking with the PGA Tour.
There is no word on whether he and Reed have officially resigned from the Tour.
The next LIV Golf event starts on June 30 at Pumpkin Ridge.
The inaugural LIV Golf event begins on Thursday in London.
LIV Golf comes to The International in September.
