Pawtucket’s Kyle Hoffman Wins Medalist Honors at 2nd RI Amateur Qualifier
Pawtucket Country Club’s Kyle Hoffman posted a two-under 69 to take medalist honors at the second Rhode Island Amateur Qualifier on Wednesday afternoon at Cranston Country Club.
Hoffman edged Johnathan Sayles by one shot to take the medalist honors.
Overall, 22 players made it to the tournament, with the cut coming at four-over par.
Hoffman’s Round
After opening with a bogey, Hoffman bounced back with two birdies on the second and third hole to get to one-under par.
Following a string of pars, Hoffman bogeyed the eighth hole but bounced back with a birdie on the ninth hole to turn at 34.
On the back side, Hoffman bogeyed the 11th hole and then ripped off three birdies on 15, 16 and 17.
He closed the round with a bogey on 18.
