Bobby Leopold, Tyler Cooke Win RI Four-Ball Championship
Bobby Leopold and Tyler Cooke went four-under in their final round to win the 73rd Rhode Island Four-Ball Championship on Tuesday afternoon at Green Valley Country Club.
Leopold and Cooke entered the final round trailing Cole Vieira and Mark Wilson by one shot.
However, their four-under 67, combined with just an even par round from Vieira and Wilson gave the veteran four-ball team the victory.
Leopold & Cooke’s Round
Starting the day one back, Leopold and Cooke birdied the third hole and seventh hole to get to two-under.
However, they both bogeyed the eighth hole to turn at one-under 34.
On the back side, Cooke birdied the tenth hole and Leopold followed with a birdie on the 12th hole.
The defending RI Amateur Champ added a birdie on the 15th hole and the team parred out to shoot 67.
