Dustin Johnson’s Agent Issues Statement on LIV Golf

Following the bombshell news that Dustin Johnson will be in the field for the first LIV Golf event next week, his agent, David Winkle, issued the following statement to media members:

“Dustin’s been contemplating this for the past two years & decided it was in his & his family’s best interest to pursue it. He’s never had any issue w/ PGA TOUR & is grateful for all it’s given him but in the end felt this was too compelling to pass up.”

Johnson has won two major championships and has accumulated 24 wins on the PGA Tour in his career.

It is unclear what the next shoe to drop will be in this situation.

What will the PGA Tour do, will Jay Monahan ban Johnson and other players or just let it go.

Johnson was scheduled to play in the U.S. Open at The Country Club in Brookline in a few weeks.
