Dickson, Adamonis Miss Cut by 1 Shot at Korn Ferry Tour Monday Q
Rhode Island’s Will Dickson missed the cut by one shot at the Rex Hospital Open Monday Qualifier in Greensboro, North Carolina.
Both Dickson and Adamonis finished at six under at Forest Oaks and Bryan Park, respectively, and seven-under got in.
For Dickson, missing the cut was brutal.
He teed off at 7:50 a.m. And finished just before 1 p.m.
After a six-hour wait, someone came at seven under, playing in one of the final groups.
Adamonis opened the round with a bogey on the second hole, but quickly got it back with an eagle on the fourth hole to get to one-under.
After parring five-straight holes, he would turn at that number.
On the back side, Adamonis birdied ten, 13, 14, and 15 to get into contention, then closed with a birdie on 18.
Dickson bogeyed his first hole of the day, before dropping birdie putts on the fourth, fifth and sixth holes to turn at two-under.
On the back side, Dickson birdied the tenth hole, 13th hole, 16th hole and 18th hole to get int he clubhouse at 66.
For the longest time, it looked like that might hold up.
It ended up falling just short.
